DFP launches manifesto, outdoors running mate Sunday

THE Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) will launch its manifesto for the December 7, general elections on Sunday, October 19, 2008.
The launch, which would take place at the national secretariat of the party at North Kaneshie, would also be used to out-door the vice-presidential candidate of the party.
A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Mr Bede A. Ziedeng said “the launch of the DFP manifesto and the out-dooring of the vice presidential candidate becomes a significant event in that it is the only party to have completed all processes prescribed by the Electoral Commission (EC) for filing of nomination papers for the presidential and parliamentary elections before launching its manifesto”.
It said the party’s vision for the political, economic and socio-cultural development of the nation was outlined in the manifesto under the theme “Restoring national hope and confidence”.
It said the launch would also mark the beginning of the final lap of the party’s campaign towards the forthcoming elections.
